Local MP Hugo Swire visited the Met Office on Friday 18 September to see the first part of the brand new supercomputer.
The new supercomputer, which has so far been delivered on budget and ahead of schedule, is enabling the Met Office to produce more detailed and accurate forecasts which experts say will prove invaluable to government, business and the general public.
Part of the supercomputer is also due to be located at Exeter Science Park.
Mr Swire had previously campaigned vigorously for the supercomputer to be housed at the Met Office and Exeter Science Park.
