We have been fortunate to secure Dominic Raab MP for Esher and Walton to be our guest at a dinner to be held at Buckerell Lodge, Topsham Rd, Exeter EX2 4SQ, on November 4th, 6.45 for 7.15 sit down. Tickets £28.
Dominic attended Oxford where he gained a degree in law and a Masters from Cambridge. He spent the summer of 1998 at Birzeit University, near Ramallah where he worked for one of the principal Palestinian negotiators of the Oslo peace accords, assessing World Bank projects on the West Bank. In 2000, Dominic joined the Foreign Office, covering a range of briefs including leading a team at the British Embassy in The Hague, dedicated to bringing war criminals to justice. Upon returning to London, he advised on the Arab-Israeli conflict, the European Union, and Gibraltar. From 2006 to 2010, Dominic worked in Parliament as Chief of Staff to Shadow Home Secretary David Davis. He was elected to Westminster in 2010.
Dominic campaigned for Brexit in the Referendum campaign and his career as an international lawyer gives him a unique insight into the latest state of play in the Brexit negotiations, the options and where we will be on November 4th!
Please note there will be no raffle but places are limited and an early response would be most appreciated as the Hotel wants the details a week before the event. In addition, for those who might want to make a day in Exeter part of the proceedings, the Hotel are giving us preferential rates for a stay over that evening.
We very much look forward to welcoming you.
